A little variation to the tube top gives way to tube dress. Tube dresses are elongated tube tops that extend down from the armpits to cover the lower half of the body or more. A tube dress may give way to a skirt done in empire-line, A line or basque pattern.

Tube tops dresses feature a bodice that is basically shoulder-less, sleeveless and strapless and wraps around the chest to leave your shoulders bare.The bodice may be a simple band of stretchy material with little or no structure but designed to fit tight around the torso. They take the shape of your body trunk, once you wear one.

Some may feature underneath, at the seam around the armpits, a band of elastic or a hidden strip of rubbery plastic to keep the top in place and to avoid slipping out of place. Some may feature buttons, bows, ties, or other fasteners. Some may also be structured to provide support the breasts.

The length may reach up-to the midriff or below. Tube tops may be called strapless tops, but all strapless tops are not tube tops.

Smocked/ Tulip shaped or baby doll style tube tops:They are an alternative to fitted tube tops. The bust of the top is typically fitted, and the longer style type flows slightly away from the body. They may not be made of good stretch materials.

Draped tube tops:They feature a bust band underneath, at the seam around the armpit, designed to drape away from the body but sit close to the hips.

Wear with: You can wear them with slim jeans and Capri.
