Celebrities turned up in huge numbers in their glam avatar at the 7th annual Fashion Fund Awards held at NYC on Monday. Billy Reid took home the trophy established to promote young talent within the design fraternity. He won a cash prize of $300,000 along with a mentorship program with some of the biggest names in the industry, reports WWD.
Gossip Girl babe Leighton Meester was the best dressed of the evening as she looked uber chic in a simple but super sexy black and white asymmetric frock made in collaboration with Swarovski. She accessorized her dress with Roger Vivier shoes and Monique Pean jewelry.
Joining her co-star in the list of well dressed stars, Blake Lively turned up in a Chanel dress and a black embroidered top. She left her long blonde hair falling over her shoulders and wore black peep toes.
Carey Mulligan too won thumbs up from the fashion brigade as the 25 year old British actress walked up the red carpet. Mulligan wore a shimmery gold and bronze dress with sequins. The Chanel dress was from the label’s Fall/ Winter Haute Couture collection.
