There’s a reason so many celebs are invited to opening night. The more celebs, the higher the chances of some of them showing up in gorgeous outfits that will steal the show. One of the invites to the December 6 Los Angeles premiere of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows at the Village Theater in Westwood, California gave us strong reason to believe this theory. Actress Amber Heard showed up to the premiere of the much-awaited film in a black and white ensemble that had her looking sleek, sexy and elegant to the bone.
The 25-year-old donned a semi-androgynous look for the event. She wore high-waisted black slacks and a sleeveless, tailored white shirt, both by Valentino. She accessorised with a slim black belt, a pair of gold stud earrings, and a cuff by Dannijo. This simple getup was refined and graceful, but it was really Amber’s personality that gave it the panache it exuded.
She completed her look with a slash of bright red on her lips, and left her blond hair loose in curls so soft they looked like candy floss. Amber was – in a word – lovely.

As Amber shows us, an androgynous look can be achieved with a combination of simple clothes, and there are no hard and fast rules that need to be maintained. This rather feminine take on the look is inspiring. By keeping the colors classic and minimal, you too can easily create it and pull it off.
