Everyone’s still talking about Julianne Hough’s daring backless gown at the People’s Choice Awards on January 11. And we’re about to join the bandwagon. The 23-year-old has a fondness for backless gowns. But she really pushed the envelope with this one. And we can see why – the star had to find a away to stand out at the Nokia Theater LA Live, what with the host of fashion-forward beauties who were present there.
The blond actress wore a knee-length sparkly metallic silver dress with full sleeves and an uber modest neckline. The back of the dress though was anything but demure. The backline plunged down almost to her bottom, forming an impressive and tantalizing inverted U a mere inch above her pert derrière. Nude triangular fabric held the dress together at the most extreme ends of the backless cut, but otherwise it was all skin. Julianne teamed the stunning outfit with strappy silver sandals.
We love how she pulls off her backless gowns. Although she always goes for the more daring cuts, she never ends up looking trashy. Maybe that has something to do with her graceful poise and demeanor born of years of professional dance training.
