If there’s anyone who can effortlessly make a glamorous event even more glamorous, it’s Angelina Jolie. The stunner simply has to walk into a room and her powerful presence makes the style stats shoot through the roof. She did it again as she attended the Golden Globes at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 15.
Jolie wore an off-shoulder ivory gown by Atelier Versace. The body-hugging, full-length dress had a flash of red on a pleat at the bustline. Draped detailing accentuated her waistline and the dress split open mid -thigh to reveal her slender legs. She accessorized with diamond stud earrings, ivory peep-toe heels and a glossy red clutch.
That red pleat of this dress is inspiring. Sure it adds a splash of color, but more than that, this shade of red is shocking, seductive, and yet very royal somehow. We love how it has been incorporated in bits and pieces of this ensemble. Jolie must have felt that too because she wore the same shade of red on her world-famous pout. Some darkish eye makeup and just the tiniest hint of blush completed her makeup.
The hairdo was another winning aspect of her overall look. She pulled her brown hair back into a simple bun, leaving an unhindered view of her exquisite face.
This is an immaculate, icy look that makes you want to just keep on checking her out. From head to foot, Jolie is undoubtedly the queen of the red carpet.
Get The Look
We don’t all have Jolie’s beauty, style and poise. So no matter what you do, no matter how much you emulate this look from top to toe, just accept the fact that you won’t rock this ensemble the way she does. But you can play up to your own strengths with your makeup and hairdo. It’s better to sport an updo with off-shoulder dresses. Avoid dangle earrings too. The idea is to let the off-shoulder bit of your dress be the focal point of the look, and not to do anything to steal the attention from that.
