The 19th Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) 2012 will begin from February 15 in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The names of the designers who will be showcasing their work at the five-day gala have been announced by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) who are the organizers of the fashion event.
Renowned fashion designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil will be the first to present their collections at this autumn-winter edition of the WIFW. The president of the FDCi, Sunil Sethi, said that they were excited to have the unveiling done by the designer duo as they are famous for their glamor, which makes them the perfect way to kick-start the biggest fashion event of the year.
Shantanu and Nikhil in turn declared that they were thrilled with the opportunity, and that they would be displaying their Drape bridge collection on the big day.
137 other designers will also be featuring their collections at the event. Some of them include Rohit Bal, Manish Malhotra, Rocky S, Gauri and Nainika, Anju Modi, Gaurav Gupta, Meera and Muzaffar Ali, James Ferreira, Tarun Tahiliani, Abraham and Thakore, Wendell Rodricks, Rahul Mishra, Charu Parashar, and Abdul Halder.
