After flooring us with the tangerine outfit she wore to the Los Angeles premiere of “The Hunger Games”, Elizabeth Banks turned to another citrus-y shade for the European leg of the promotion on March 14 at the 02 Arena in London.
The blond beauty, who plays escort Effie Trinket in the fantasy movie, wore a full-length, sequined, brilliant yellow dress from the Bill Blass Spring 2012 collection. A deep-U back with a strip of sequined fabric running across the lower half was one of the high points of the dress, second only to the fantastic color.
Slim bands of sheer yellow fabric broke the monotony of the pattern on the waist and just above the knees, while most of the skirt was mainly sheer with slim sequined strips breaking the monotony of the plainness.
Elizabeth accessorized her fabulous gown with pearl drop earrings and a croc clutch purse in the same cheerful shade of yellow as the dress.
Wavy hair, a little dark eye liner and mascara plus soft pink lips completed her mind-blowing red carpet look.
Get the Look
Elizabeth’s look is fabulous from top to bottom. But there is one tiny flaw that is easily over-looked only because of the pure awesomeness of the dress.
Orange is the perfect palette for makeup when wearing yellow. Elizabeth though seems to have overdone the orange just a tad. She looks slightly sunburned under certain lights.
Make sure that your makeup is not too bronzed when wearing yellow because the hue of the outfit will really make the darker makeup stand out.
