Dressing up is no complex art that you can’t crack. You just need to know your wardrobe well and have the right pieces put together. But unfortunately some of our celebrities forget to check their mirrors while they step out, or let’s believe they don’t have a mirror at home!
One of the few disaster cases was Mackinlee Waddell who was spotted at the “Mirror Mirror” Los Angeles Premiere at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre / Hollywood.
The embroidery detail on the bust was a complete turn off. The purple color was in itself so majestic that another color in the gown was absolutely not required. The color could have been one tone darker but the light mauve only killed the strapless asymmetric gown which otherwise could have looked beautiful. The dress could have a saving grace if the length was till the ground level. The sleek black stilettos were the only things I found decent and matching. She could have carried a silver or antique gold clutch and tied up her hair neatly upfront and leave it into a messy bun at the back. Make up can get full marks but the rest of the look definitely needs a lot of work.
Another one to fall into the disaster management of fashion is Eva Larue who was also spotted at the “Mirror Mirror” Los Angeles Premiere at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre / Hollywood.
The first problem with the look was that there was everything thrown in. A dress, jacket, stole, boots, there was no one particular thing that the eye could settle down at. The blue dress alone could have carried off the look perfectly with silver pumps or stilettos. The jacket looked very forced on and that ugly scarf just seemed to be borrowed from some road side beggar. The thigh high boots were just not required and only added to the disaster. The Chanel bag looked quite classy individually but as a part of the look it did nothing to enhance it. The hair and make up could be given a thumbs up but the look definitely needs a stylist which can save her from such disasters in the future.
It only strikes you hard when people who have a superb taste in fashion and have been fashion icons the past come out as a total failure. Lori Loughlin was also present at the Mirror Mirror Premiere and she turned out to be a total disappointment.
The black top could have still worked if she chose to wear straight cut pants or trousers with it. A nice crisp white or beige colored jacket would have added the chic element and nude pumps would have worked wonders. She definitely needs to get rid of the pleated skirt as soon as possible. It is hideous and does nothing to show of her well maintained body and legs. I am in absolute awe of the messy hair and subtle make up. She has beautiful features and thank God she hasn’t killed it by applying layers of makeup. I am sure Lori won’t be disappointing the next time we spot her at some event.
