Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau made a rare red carpet appearance together at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art opening gala in Los Angeles, turning the evening into one of their most high profile outings as a couple.
Held ahead of the museum’s public opening, the gala brought together major names from film, music, art and fashion to celebrate the long awaited project founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson. The museum is dedicated to visual storytelling, with a collection spanning cinema, illustration, comics and fine art.
For the evening, Perry chose a white velvet Christian Siriano gown from the Spring 2027 collection. The sculptural shape gave the dress a clean, dramatic presence, while Trudeau kept things understated in a classic black suit.
Together, the pair looked polished without appearing overly staged.
Their appearance drew attention partly because they have kept much of their relationship relatively private. While Perry and Trudeau have been linked since 2025, they have made only a handful of major public appearances together.
The gala itself had no shortage of star power. Guests included Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg, Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton, making it one of the season’s biggest cultural gatherings in Los Angeles.
For Perry and Trudeau, though, the moment was less about spectacle and more about simply showing up together.
And sometimes, that says enough.
