We don’t generally see Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut in traditional wear. Not that we’re complaining; she’s got a fabulous sense of style and inspires modern chic in all of us. When she does, on occasion, sport ethnic wear though, she still ends up looking like a bombshell. Check her out getting pulses racing on the sets of India’s Got Talent – Season 5 in Mumbai, India, on February 23, 2014 where she was promoting her upcoming movie “Queen”.

She wore an animated anarkali suit from Indian by Manish Arora. It was really a lively outfit spilling over with colors from red blue and yellow to smaller accented bits on the embroidered bust, cuffs and hem. Even all this expressive color is a deviation for this style diva considering how meticulously she sticks to neutral hues and solids. It transforms her whole image!

Her glorious curls were carefully tucked into an updo and the natural beauty went with natural makeup which made her look a little pale. A spot more color on her cheeks or a little more definition on the eyes wouldn’t have hurt. Gold jhumka earrings and matching bracelets – one on each hand – accessorized the ensemble.

Although we love the outfit, we have to say we’re a bit put off by her choice of footwear. Plain black strappy heels? No, it just doesn’t do it for us. A nude pair, a colorful one or even something with a little glitter in silver or gold would have been far more in tune with the spirit of the rest of the ensemble, no? Still, it’s a small oversight that we’re readily able to ignore.
