She made a startling revelation at the event when she shared that even she had been sexually abused as a child. She did not go into details as it wasn’t something she wanted to talk about but said it was something she had to live with for a very long time. She also said that many of her close friends had been sexually abused as children.

Kalki continued that 53% of children in India are sexually abused and that sex education and setting up confidential centers for victims was the need of the hour.
