Meghan Markle could be heading back in front of the camera. The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly preparing for a significant return to acting as she and Prince Harry get ready to spend an extended period in the UK with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
According to reports, Meghan has a new acting opportunity in the works, although details surrounding the project are still being kept under wraps.

Royal correspondent Bronte Coy told BBC Radio 4 that she had been informed the project was “significant” and that Meghan was excited about it. And there may already be a clue about where we could see her next.
People reports that Meghan is in early discussions to appear in Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen. The role is reportedly still being developed, so exactly how large her part would be remains unclear. If it goes ahead, however, it could become Meghan’s biggest acting role since she stepped away from Suits.
From Suits to Royal Life and Back Again?
Before becoming the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan was best known for playing Rachel Zane on the hit legal drama Suits. She appeared on the show for seven seasons before leaving in 2017, ahead of her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018.
For years, a return to acting seemed unlikely. Meghan even said in a 2022 interview that she considered that chapter of her career finished. Things have clearly shifted since then. Meghan made a cameo in the 2025 comedy Close Personal Friends, giving audiences their first glimpse of her acting again after several years away. The latest reports suggest she may now be ready to take things considerably further.
One thing that does not appear to be happening, at least for now, is a return as Rachel Zane. Earlier this year, Meghan’s representative dismissed reports that she would appear in a proposed Suits reunion movie, saying there was “no truth” to those claims. Her possible acting comeback also comes at an interesting moment. Meghan and Harry are preparing to establish a base in Britain again after six years in California, although they are expected to retain their Montecito home and continue their US based ventures.
Whether The Gentlemen turns out to be the project that officially brings Meghan Markle back into the acting world remains to be seen. But after years of saying goodbye to Hollywood, it certainly looks like the Duchess may be ready for another take.
