The finale brought together 111 contestants from around the world for Miss World’s 75th anniversary celebration, but it was Joheirry who ultimately took the top title after advancing through the competition’s new elimination format and final question and answer round.

Joheirry Mola of the Dominican Republic was crowned Miss World 2026, giving her country one of its biggest moments on the international pageant stage.

Joheirry is from the Dominican Republic and holds a degree in Business Management and Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana.

She is also the founder and president of Voices of Tomorrow, an initiative focused on expanding access to English education and opportunities for children and young people in vulnerable communities.

The final results placed Elisabeth Reynés of Spain as first runner up, while Taanusiya Chetty of Malaysia finished as second runner up.

Nikita reached the Top 40 but did not advance into the Top 20. Her journey still attracted strong support from Indian pageant fans, particularly around her finale gown and cultural presentations.
India’s last Miss World victory came with Manushi Chhillar in 2017.
