Joe Jonas is stepping into fragrance with a campaign that does not take itself too seriously.
The singer has been named Global Brand Ambassador for Kenneth Cole’s new Inspire Eau de Toilette, but instead of delivering the usual moody, overly seductive perfume commercial, Jonas helped create something much more playful.
A Fragrance Ad That Knows It Is a Fragrance Ad

The campaign leans into the clichés of traditional men’s fragrance advertising and then turns them into a joke.
Directed by Anthony Mandler, the film features cinematic visuals, multiple versions of Jonas and an original power ballad performed by the singer himself. The whole thing plays like a parody of the dramatic, ultra-serious perfume ads we have all seen before.
That lightness works because Jonas was involved in developing the creative idea, so the campaign feels closer to his personality than a standard celebrity endorsement.
What Inspire Smells Like

The fragrance itself stays more classic.
Inspire opens with bergamot, lemon and grapefruit, followed by rosemary, cypress and black pepper. Cedarwood, oakmoss and amber give the base a warmer, woodier finish.
Kenneth Cole describes the scent as fresh, aromatic and confident, with bergamot at the top and cedarwood leaving the lasting impression.
The contrast is what makes the launch fun. The fragrance is polished and easy to wear, while the campaign around it is deliberately exaggerated and self-aware.
For Jonas, that makes Inspire feel less like another celebrity fragrance deal and more like a creative collaboration with a sense of humor.
