The Awards season has officially begun. How do we know this? Not from the fact that the People’s Choice Awards were held at the Nokia Theater LA Live in Los Angeles, California on January 10. There are awards functions every month, so that does not count as a parameter. No, we know that the Awards season is here from the mind-boggling array of luscious red carpet fashions that we saw on display at the very same event. When the most beautiful women in the world go to this much trouble to look even more gorgeous, you can take it for granted that something big is happening.
We saw an interesting trend at the event – gowns and dresses with trains. And we love it! Trains are full-on fairytale princess in the castle. But none of these beauties needs a Prince Charming to make her complete.
Singer Demi Lovato wore a jaw-dropping orange gown by Marchesa. The strapless, low-cut gown had a fitted bodice and skirt, flaring out gently below the knees to flow out into a long-ish train. The bodice had beaded detailing that brought attention to her curvy figure. Demi accessorized with a golden box clutch purse, golden peep-toe heels, and gold jewelry. She completed her look with an elegant updo, dramatic eye makeup, and coral red lips.
Next up is Cheryl Burke in a sleeveless black and white sequined dress with an amazing floral print that ran vertically along half of the full-length gown right to the trail. We love that teasing slit that starts way up on her thigh and shows off her sexy legs. Cheryl accessorized with nude pumps, and a silver bracelet on her left hand.
Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale caught out eye in this glamorous asymmetrical black number with a shoulder cut-out by Cengiz Abazoglu. The sparkling black mini part of her outfit was off-set by the trailing black matte skirt which started only at the waist of the dress and trailed down just one side. The stunning 22-year-old accessorized her unique gown with black platform pumps and hooped silver earrings.
And finally, we have Carrie Keagan in a very low-cut strapless embroidered silver dress with a sheer silver train and silver fringe detailing along the hem. The figure-hugging, knee-length number was accessorized with gold jewelry and silver strappy platform heels.
