We don’t know what Cuban singer Mayra Veronica is more famous for – her music or her curves. We’re going to go with the latter based on her ensemble at the 10th Annual Hoodie Awards held at the Garden Arena at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 4.
What she wore:
Fitted, sequinned dress
Mayra donned a short, sleeveless dress that was fully sequinned except for two black bands of fabric on the waist and hips. The figure-hugging dress had white, gold and bronze sequins forming a horizontal zig-zag pattern. She accessorized with humongous hoop earrings and nude peep-toe pumps.
Hair and Makeup:
Straight, loose hair; Rosy lips
The 31-year-old showed off her new auburn highlights by leaving her long brown hair loose and straight from a centre parting. A rose-colored lippie and a subtle eye liner completed her look.
Get the Look
Many of us shy away from fully-sequinned dresses, especially if we’re on the heavier side. Actually, it’s not the sequins but the way a dress fits that will decide how great or awful you look in it. Check out how Mayra’s curves look very sexy because of the way her dress defines them just right. Sequins are fun and they are the perfect way to sport a party-girl look. Make sure you reserve them for the night though. A fully-sequinned ensemble in the day time will make you look like you’re trying too hard and getting it wrong to boot.
