Pop singer Christina Aguilera loves her new curves. She stated in an interview that her problem her whole life was always being too skinny, and now that she has“booty” to show off she couldn’t be happier. The crooner’s pride in her body was apparent in the outfit she donned at the 2012 NCLR ALMA Awards at The Pasadena Civic Auditorium in California on September 16.

Lace-panelled dress by Michael Kors
Black is perfect for slimming you down but it’s also perfect for accentuating body shapes. Christina took advantage of both these characteristics of the timeless color by slipping into a black full-length gown with floral-lace full sleeves and lace on the back and sides.
A thigh-high slit gave us a peek of her toned pins as well as her bejewelled stacked pumps by Christian Louboutin. Diamond-studded jewellery by Neil Lane and a black and silver striped box clutch purse by Judith Leiber accessorized her outfit.
Hair and Makeup:
Two-toned ponytail; glam makeup
Christina tied her hair back in a curly ponytail to show off her newly-colored purple and pink tresses. Maroon nail polish, mascarraed and lined eyes, and red lips completed her look.
Get the Look
Dresses with lace accents or lace panelling are sexy, feminine and classy. However, ensure that the rest of your ensemble does not compete with the lace. Basically, tone down the accessories. Christina was going for red carpet glam which is why she can get away with so much bling. In a real-life scenario, you’d look like you were trying too hard if you sported gems with lace.
