Rocker Gwen Stefani went with a more feminine hair and makeup look than is normal for her as she attended the 40th Annual American Music Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on November 18 where she performed with her band No Doubt.

Gwen’s look is usually edgy and there’s no mistaking the stark silhouettes she favours. While she maintained her patent red hot lips, she upped her sensuousness manyfold with thick eyeliner, heavy mascara and smokey eye shadow. A barely-discernible bit of brown eyeliner on the lower lid brought the browns of her peepers into sharp relief.
Her hairstyle for the evening was perhaps more pleasantly surprising. Still peroxide blonde but with deeper shades of blonde highlights, her tresses were styled in soft waves from a relaxed center parting. Loose curls dominated the ends, completing the vibrant yet sultry picture.
