Synopsis:
“Peepli Live” is a story about a poor farmer Natha (Omkar Das Manikpuri) from Peepli village who is on the verge of losing his piece of land for not being able to pay the government loan. Government’s program of helping family of the farmers who have commited suicide could have been a way of survival for his family. Natha has an option to commit suicide so that his family can have better life. Natha’s brother wants him to sacrifice for his family but Natha doesn’t want to do so. Because of the elections around the corner, this story catches fire and creates uproar in the village. Now everyone is eager to know whether Natha will commit suicide or not?
