Bollywood actor Chitrangada Singh features on the cover of the latest issue of Femina Bridal magazine. She unveiled the look at a press event in Mumbai, India on October 29, 2013.

Chitrangada is seen on the cover in a contemporary lehenga choli that has a red skirt with gold accents and is paired with a strapless gold top. Not to forget her elaborate diamond necklace which is part and parcel of the wardrobe of any Indian bride. She looked stunning, of course, her natural beauty and the dramatic sweep of the bridal wear combining to paint a very pretty picture indeed.

Her ensemble at the unveiling of the cover was even more worthy of scrutiny and admiration. She wore a red outfit that was a cross between an evening gown and a sari, but it was not like any other sari gown that we have seen before. Chitrangada’s attire was far more unique.

Designed by Sonakshi Raj, her light red outfit comprised of a bodice embellished with floral motifs and a plain floor-sweeping skirt that was characterised by draped detailing ending in a pallu that fell down the back.

Normally, you’d expect a sari gown to at least have the waist left bare so that the ensemble resembles a sari, but since that detail was lacking in this outfit, it presented a very pleasant fusion that sided more with the Western influence.

Another detail that made this look so fetching was that the fabric on the neckline was sheer and her curly locks falling over her shoulders hid the floral detailing there. So the overall effect made the bodice appear like a very delicate, feminine corset which really blew the sex appeal on this look through the roof.

She rounded off the ensemble with open-toed heels and delicate diamond jewellery including a cocktail ring and dangle earrings. A nude lippie and deeply smokey eyes completed her look.
