Delhi is set to welcome Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) from October 13 to 18, 2026. The week will bring designer shows, emerging talent and international collaborations to the capital, with the main runway programme taking place at Taj Palace, New Delhi, from October 14.
Circular design opens the week

The schedule begins on October 13 at the Embassy of France with the finale of the R|Elan Circular Design Challenge, held in partnership with the UN in India. The showcase highlights designers exploring new ideas in responsible fashion and sets a forward-looking tone for the week.

The main runway opens the following day with Péro, in a show presented by Lakmē x Tira. The label is known for bringing craft, detailed textiles and storytelling into contemporary Indian design.
A mix of established and emerging designers
Several familiar names will present collections during the week, including Ashish N Soni, Namrata Joshipura, Suneet Verma, Tarun Tahiliani and Samant Chauhan. Manish Malhotra will return to Lakmé Fashion Week after three years with his Luxury Pret showcase on October 17, featuring festive designs.

The schedule also makes room for new talent. NIF Global Presents GenNext will feature designers Day & Age, Subbha and Abhishek Chauhan. The NEXA Spotlight and FDCI x Pearl Academy First Cut showcases will introduce more emerging voices to the runway.
Fashion perspectives from beyond Delhi

The programme will connect Indian fashion with designers and craftspeople from other regions and countries. FDCI x Moscow Fashion Week will feature Russian designer Sergey Sysoev. Eccellenza: The Artisans of Italian Style will bring attention to Italian craftsmanship, while The Fifth Season will showcase the creative heritage of Ladakh.

These presentations give the schedule a wider perspective, placing regional craft and international exchange alongside contemporary runway fashion.
Amit Aggarwal to close the week

The event will conclude on October 18 with the House of Lakmē Grand Finale, featuring AM.IT by Amit Aggarwal. Known for sculptural shapes and innovative use of materials, the designer will bring the week to a close with a collection centred on craft and structure.
From circular design and new talent to festive fashion and cross-cultural collaborations, the October edition promises a varied programme. For Delhi, it is a welcome week of runway shows that brings different parts of the fashion industry together.
