It seems like Lil Wayne will dominate this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards as he has landed 18 nominations. We’ll know for sure at the ceremony which will be held on October 1st in Atlanta, Georgia, and hosted by comedian Mike Epps.
The Lollipop hitmaker sold 1 million copies of his latest album, Tha Carter IV, which topped album charts on Wednesday.
Some of the awards that Wayne has been nominated for include Best Live Performer, Hustler of the Year and Lyricist of the Year. He’ll be going up against protegee Nicki Minaj, and fellow rappers Kanye West and Jay-Z. Other nominations include Track of the Year, Best Club Banger, and Best Featured Verse
