Shoe Trees

October 25, 2009 by sarita

“Shoe trees” for shoes, to retain their original shape

Shoe trees, also known as shoe stretchers, are devices made of plastic or wood. These are inserted into the shoes to help maintain the original shape of the shoes, preventing cracking and creases, especially in leather shoes.

You are not wearing a pair of shoe for a long time and wish to store it then it is advised to use shoe-trees.

The advantages of using wooden shoe trees are many. They tend to last longer, providing better shape and add fragrance and freshness to the shoes. Wooden shoe trees also prevent moisture built-up as they have the tendency to absorb the moisture from the shoes that accumulates due to feet perspiration, thus, making the shoes comfortable to wear. However, wooden shoe trees are expensive and heavier than the plastic ones but worth having.
