Bollywood actor Hema Malini promoted fashion designer Neeta Lulla’s new saree collection at the designer’s flagship store in Mumbai, India on September 26, 2013. Hema is quite a fan of Neeta’s creations and has even walked the ramp for her at Lakme Fashion Week 2012.

Neeta took Hema around the store, showing off some of the latest sarees on display. Both ladies looked absolutely stunning.
Hema looked fantastic in a gorgeous blue and orange sari with floral motifs. It was a radiant, life-affirming number. What better attire for a dancer like Hema?

She wore a traditional jewellery set with the sari consisting of a multiple-string statement pearl necklace, a matching bracelet and earrings.
Orange lips, kohled eyes and a small maroon bindi completed her look. The ensemble was perfect for the veteran actress from every angle.

Neeta was clad in a lovely peach anarkali, presumably one of her own creations, with lovely silver embroidery across the bodice and on the full sleeves. She went with glamorous styling, choosing red lips, darkly done-up eyes and loose hair accentuated by blunt bangs to round out her look.

At the Q&A following the walkabout in the store, the talk got around to Hema’s comeback onscreen, particularly in item numbers with younger male stars as is the fashion of late. Hema was asked if she was offered something of the sort, would she do it. She seemed very amused by the idea, saying that it would look both funny and stupid if she did something like that. However, she went on, since she is an artist, if something suitable and proper came along she may do it.
