The Lakme Fashion Week 2014 curtain-raiser was held in Mumbai, India on July 28, 2014 and it saw already its fair share of celebrities and glamour, which bodes well for the main event itself.
Shibani Dandekar sported printed separates by Payal Singhal. It had a nice Indo-fusion vibe thanks to the harem-pants style bottoms and the cropped top. The colour and print were international with a touch of vintage. We like the contemporary touch with the metallic pumps and high bun. She looked pretty and fun too!

Konkona Sen Sharma looked gorgeous in a dark blue sari by Anavila Misra. It had a white patterned border with the same pattern on the ends of the pallu. She wore a plain black blouse with it, and rounded out her look with a seriously-sexy metallic arm band, matching bracelet and white hair accessory, styling the ensemble with deep blue eye liner and a low bun.

Meanwhile, model Pallavi Das was doing her own bit of showing off in a delightful blue lehenga featuring silver embellishments and a matching off-white choli.

Also present at the event were designers Riddhi Mehra, Amrita Puri, Manish Malhotra, Masaba Gupta, and actors Gauhar Khan, Deeksha Seth, Shriya Saran and Kiara Advani.
This is the fifteenth edition of the Lakme Fashion Week 2014 and if the curtain-raiser is anything to go by, it promises to be the most exciting one yet. Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014 will take place from August 20 to August 24 at the Palladium Hotel in Mumbai.
