Pop star Beyonce has admitted that the dance routines featured in the video of her latest song Countdown have indeed been inspired by the Belgian choreographer who recently accused the singer of plagiarism.
Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker has said that she will sue Beyonce for the moves that were lifted from her ballet production Rosas danst Rosas.
Beyonce released a statement about the dispute, claiming that the Keersmaeker’s work was just one of the different influences that can be seen in the video and that she used many references to bring the song to life.
Adria Petty, the co-director of the video, added that hopefully fans will see for themselves how the video and dance moves have been inspired by not just Rosas danst Rosas but also legends Audrey Hepburn and Andy Warhol, among others.
