Singer Beyonce gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday. According to reports, the R&B superstar and husband rapper Jay-Z welcomed Ivy Blue Carter via a scheduled C-section at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.
The couple have been married since April 2008 and this is their first child.
Fellow singer Rihanna was one of the first to offer her congratulations via her Twitter page. She welcomed the baby to the world and signed the post ‘Aunty Rih’.
Russell Simmons also resorted to his Twitter page to offer his best wishes to the new parents.
