At the UK premiere of her second directorial venture – W. E. – multi-talented international superstar Madonna proved one thing beyond a doubt – she’s till got it. The 53-year-old easily put much younger women to shame with her rocking bod and poise as she arrived at The Odeon Kensington in London on January 11.
The Material Girl donned an exquisite full-length black velvet gown with spaghetti straps by Jean Paul Gaultier. She paired this with an equally exquisite lace cape which was tied around her neck and fell to below the knees.
Her choice of accessories for this outfit are commendable – fishnet stockings, striking red pumps, and red motorcycle gloves. She also wore diamond dangle earrings, a necklace which spelled out WE in diamonds, and a couple of matching bracelets.
The Queen of Pop wore red lipstick to match her gloves and shoes. Apart from dark eye makeup, the rest of her face was done up in natural hues. Madonna left her wavy blond hair loose for the evening.
Although she looks very elegant and proper, the cape, red gloves and shoes add an interesting touch that is symbolic of Madonna’s uniqueness.
Get The Look
You can put your hair up in this outfit to look even more sophisticated and to highlight your shoulders. Switching to a pair of silver strappy heels would lend this ensemble some sparkle. A gown like Madonna’s should be reserved for formal evening dos.
