Actress and singer Ashley Tisdale showed her support for best friend Vanessa Hudgens by attending the premiere of the latter’s new movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island at Grauman’s Chinese Theater on February 2, 2012 in Los Angeles, California.
She was just as much in the limelight as the actual cast of the movie, and with good reason. The 26-year-old wore a fuchsia mini dress to die for from from Nightcap’s Resort 2012 Collection. The one-shoulder lacy dress featured a full-length sleeve on the left arm with scalloped edges on the hem, neckline and cuffs. She accessorized with nude suede pumps from Yves Saint Laurent, a clutch purse with a long shoulder strap, several rings, and a man’s gold wristwatch. That last was an interesting touch.
Her makeup was natural except for dark eyes, but there was a reason for it. Ashley wanted to ensure that nothing on her face would overshadow her smashing new red hair tips. Her blonde hair was simply straightened, parted and left loose so that the red tips would be highlighted.
Get The Look
With lace, less is usually more. But although this outfit features mostly lace, it does not appear too heavy or overdone. In fact, it’s light and youthful. Perhaps it’s the fuchsia that brings it to life, or perhaps its Ashley’s own vivacious personality. You can pay it safe with lace by opting for outfits that feature it just on the hem or the neckline, or you can flaunt your hot body in a fetching color like Ashley if the dress is as elegant as this one. A lacy dress is best suited for formal events in the evening.
Try colored hair tips if you want to revamp your look but are not ready for a complete makeover. You can use temporary hair color which will wash away the next time you shampoo. This can give you a pretty wide range of colors to work with without having to commit to one. And if you find that you like a particular color enough to wear it all the time, you can permanently dye the tips that shade.
