Pop star Taylor Swift played it safe but also experimented as she attended the BRIT Awards in London on February 20. The willowy diva chose a simple black dress for her walk down the red carpet, but nevertheless held her own among the bevy of beauties that evening.

Although simple, her floor-sweeping black dress was one of the best numbers on the red carpet at the awards show. Sheer panels on the front of her dress from the thigh down and also on the shoulders broke the monotony of the all-black number. A delectable slim gold belt cinched in her tiny waist and added a bit of an edge.
A gold cuff bracelet, cocktail ring and statement earrings by Neil Lane went on to offer subtle touches of glitter where needed. She rounded off her look with Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

She may have diverged quite a bit from her usual style, but Taylor stuck with her patent hairdo for the event. Her blunt bangs and loose wavy hair framed her face to highlight her copper-lined eyes and nude lips.
