Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming survival thriller Reset has hit an unexpected roadblock.
Orlando Bloom has reportedly exited the film just days before shooting was due to begin, stepping away not only as Priyanka’s co star but also from his role as executive producer. His sudden departure has left the production looking for a replacement at a very late stage.
The exact reason behind Bloom’s exit has not been officially confirmed.

Written by Jordan Rawlins, Reset centres on Priyanka Chopra’s character, who wakes up alone in the wilderness with no memory of how she got there.
Her only chance of survival appears to be a charming stranger, the role Orlando Bloom had been set to play.
The catch? He may not be exactly who he claims to be.
That relationship between trust and suspicion is expected to drive much of the film, making the chemistry between the two leads especially important. Director Matt Smukler had previously spoken about wanting a pairing that could make attraction and mistrust feel equally believable.
Orlando Bloom Was More Than Just the Male Lead
Bloom’s exit matters because he was not attached to Reset only as an actor.
He was also involved as an executive producer through his banner Amazing Owl, and his international profile, together with Priyanka’s, was reportedly important to the film’s financing and overseas distribution plans.

That makes the next casting announcement even more interesting.
