We’ve been waiting for the re-make of “Dark Shadows” for ages. But wouldn’t you know it, when it did finally premiere on May 7 all thoughts of it were pushed to the back of our minds on beholding the red carpet hairstyle of the movie’s female lead Bella Heathcoate.
The Australian actress cut heavy blunt bangs into her brown hair. She looked stunning as her doe eyes lit up below the brow-grazing bangs. The rest of her straight hair was pulled back into a low updo. The blunt bangs give her hairstyle an edge, which is what makes you want to keep looking at her.
Blunt bangs are very in this season and we’ve seen a lot of celebs from Reese Witherspoon to Liv Tyler sporting it on the red carpet. It’s a great way to shake things up with your look without really doing much. If you’re haircut is bleh but you don’t want to cut it any shorter, cut in heavy blunt bangs to transform your persona from bland to bodacious. What’s more, bangs can take years of your face!
Before you go fix up an appointment with your hairdresser though, keep in mind that blunt bangs do not look good on everyone. Those with round faces should typically avoid this haircut. There’s also the issue of maintenance. If you have curly or wavy hair, you’ll have to pull out your flat iron every day to get these bangs (and the rest of your hair) in shape. So if you’re a busy gal with no time to preen then steer clear of this one.
