Bridal Trends 2013: Pronovias Catwalk Bridal Collection Spring 2013

May 31, 2012 by nidhi

The biggest dream most of us have is to have a fairy tale wedding. The wedding dress, makeup and hairstyle, jewellery and accessories form a big part of this dream.

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-20The Spanish bridal store Pronovias, well known in the world for dressing up brides in as many as 75 countries recently had their Bridal Collection Spring 2013 in Barcelona at the National Art Museum of Catalonia showcasing the bridal trends. With 1700 strong attendees, this was by far the largest fashion show too. And the audience was left wanting for more with the exemplary bridal trends showcased by the design house.

Inspiration

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-13The Pronovias catwalk Bridal collection Spring 2013 was inspired by the theme of “Le Jardin des Rêves” which translates into “The Garden of Dreams.” The dresses therefore were flower inspired.

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-16Pronovias chief designer Manuel Mota who was instrumental in choosing this theme, kept in mind that every girl would like to have a beautiful, dream like wedding, filled with all things pretty, feminine and flowery and the collection surely was a reflection of this inspiration. Interestingly, this dreamy, feminine theme finds a strong flavor for all Bridal trends for Spring 2013, as in the previous seasons as well.

 Fabrics

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-15The fabrics were soft, flowy and included the evergreen organza, laces, silks and satins. While the fabrics always tend to be repeated in the bridal collection, what was ingenious and exemplary was how intricate designs, silhouettes and embellishments brought newness to the entire Pronovias Bridal collection Spring 2013

Design elements and embellishments

Embellishments in the form of flowers, laces, ruffles and pleats – big and small, tonal sequin embroidery were incorporated by the design house to ensure that there was something for every bride – contemporary, classic or period.

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-5Flowers in the form of corsages, ruffles, in the form of sequin embroideries were omnipresent, in keeping with the theme – The garden of dreams.

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-1The wedding gowns had delicate fabric flowers sewn on the skirt area and on the sheer net overlay at the bodice area – delicate and very pretty lending the right dose of enigma to the bride. The small flowers at the bodice area sometimes cascaded into bigger flowers at the bottom of the bodice, making it look like a pretty garden – one that every girl wishes to have!

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-10Tonal sequin embroidery in floral, delicate vine and criss-cross patterns also formed a part of the collection.

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-3The sequin embroidery done on delicate and sheer fabrics on the bodice area left an indelible impression on the audience, who will remember it as something unique and definitely not so easy to forget.

The other big bridal trend for spring 2013 was that of using cutwork lace. Cutwork lace has always been considered very feminine and pretty and is a must to have in every woman’s wardrobe.

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-19What a beauty the wedding dress is, when you have beautiful cutwork lace interspersed with chiffons and organza used sometimes at the neck or hem or back of the bodice and finished into romantic, fluid gowns. The pattern on the laces too was inspired by the floral theme and the models strutted down the ramp in gowns having a mix of delicate lace and flowers.

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-4Complete lace bodices looked great on the models and imparted great beauty to the wedding gowns.

For the more cosmopolitan bride, one who prefers relatively less dressy look and cleaner cuts and lines, the Pronovias catwalk Bridal Collection Spring 2013 surely did not disappoint. Delicate pinstripe pleats at the bodice area, coupled with wavy ruffles, sometimes wide and sparse and sometimes small and busy on the skirt area ensured that the look was modern and clean, yet an absolute stunner!

Silhouettes and Necklines

Traditionally, wedding gowns tend to be voluminous, with long trains and yardages of fabric.

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-21While some designs of the Pronovias catwalk Bridal Collection Spring 2013 did have these, the collection also boasted of short bridal dresses – one bridal trend which everybody in this business must surely sit and take note of.

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013 collectionThe mid thigh length dresses were flirtatious. While some dresses were straight line kissing the curves of the body at the right places, some were bolder – like the voluminous baby doll lace dress with buttons at the back and floral ruffle medley at the hem.

The necklines were interesting too – illusion necklines, square necks, diamond necklines – all added variety and added enough oomph to the dresses.

Bridal Accessories

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-9When everything is as pretty as it possibly can be, how could the accessories be far behind?

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-8Delicate floral clips used on the hair up-dos, thin shiny silver hair bands, delicate net veils- plain and floral, floral sandals, thin fabric belts worn just below the bust to accentuate the tiny waist – all formed a part of the entire ensemble making it every inch a winning collection.

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-11 Pretty and delicate, the accessories carried forward the theme of the Garden of dreams.

Bridal trends 2013 pronovias catwalk Spring 2013-23To be a beautiful bride is every girl’s dream. For making the dream come true, Pronovias catwalk Bridal Collection Spring 2013 had all the right dresses.

Hairstyle and Makeup for a Night on the Town

In today’s world of rush hours and stress people often stop to give attention to many important things. Pollution, bad water, lack of proper conditioning and chemical treatment can literally kill the life out of hair leaving it dull and without shine. Different weather conditions can affect the hair as well, cool winter winds and the harsh effects of the summer sun. Instead of spending hours and a fortune in a salon, one should consider a frequent hot oil treatment. It sounds like the most simplest of things , but a lot of women in India and many Asian countries swear by it. It restores the lack of moisture in the hair preventing dry hair and breakage. Hot Oil Treatment is easy to prepare, as all it needs is a packet or bottle of oil which can be immersed in hot water. You can also get hot oil treatment kits in the market for a very reasonable price. If time is not in your favour, you can also make a quick stop at a salon for the treatment as they are much more cost efficient than other treatments available Benifits Of Hot Oil Treatment With environmental concern, chemical treatment, poor water conditions and stress affecting most of our lives, we end up with dull, brittle hair. Hot Oil Treatment conditions the hair and is the perfect medicine for damaged hair and improves the hair texture and appearance. Hot Oil Treatment can also help eliminate scalp related problems such as Dandruff and hair fall. It is easy to apply, easy to wash out and the cost of it does not burn a hole through your pocket. What are the different types of oil that can be used? The first step to Hot Oil Treatment is choosing the right oil for your hair. Olive Oil: This oil nourishes and strengthens weak hair and can also help in getting rid of lice. Olive oil also helps with greying and brittle hair, preventing hair loss and making it softer to the touch. It is often used with children as it is safe and very effective at the same time Coconut Oil: The most popular beauty secret of India is coconut oil. It helps in replenishing hair without the need for harmful chemicals. Coconut Oil prevents protein loss, a major factor in lifeless hair, and promotes clean healthy hair. It also has a cooling effect and helps in relaxation and reduction of stress. It also gets rid of dandruff, scalp irritation and restores protein to your locks. Almond Oil: We all know how nutritionally rich almonds are and are often advice by doctors to add them to our diets. Our hair also benefits from almonds, as they help soften the scalp and promote hair growth. Almond oil is rich in vitamin E and deep conditions the hair bringing back life and shine to hair. Jojoba Oil: This oil is used to cleanse and moisturize hair, repairing damage and split ends. It can be used for all hair types, and using jojoba oil for hot oil treatments can act as a deep conditioner with lasting effects. It is believed to be an effective remedy for hair loss as well. How To Prepare Treatment: Hot Oil Treatment is easy to prepare. All you need to do is heat up a few spoons of oil, or immerse the bottle of oil in hot water. If needed you can mix the oil with a tablespoon of honey, which acts as a mask and helps condition the hair even further. After heating, let the oil cool down for some time. Remember, it must be warm but should not burn your scalp. Apply it on your hair either with your hands or a ball of cotton and then run a wide tooth comb through your hair for better results and detangling. Massage your scalp as this stimulates cell growth and circulation for stronger hair. Make sure that all your hair is evenly covered with the oil and wrap your hair in a warm towel for 30-45 minutes to help the oil penetrate the hair deeper, following which you can leave the oil in your hair overnight for better results. Wash your hair with lukewarm water, avoiding both too hot and too cold and notice the difference immediately. Keep consistently treating your hair and you’ll see improvement in no time. Experiment with different oils to see which works for you the best!
