Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit made her presence felt at Phoenix Mall in Mumbai, India on World Diabetes Day – November 8, 2013 – to promote Sanofi India’s new diabetes campaign ‘What Step Will You Take Today?

The dancing queen dazzled in a dull gold salwar kameez that had brighter gold embroidery on the neckline and sleeves. The thin gold border on the hemline of the kurta brought out the deeper gold of the salwar and the sequinned dupatta.

She rounded off her look with glittery bangles, ethnic dangle earrings and strappy gold heels as red lips, red nails and her patent curly hairstyle worked to make her look as charming and breath-taking as she did ten years ago.

The campaign urges people to eat healthy, exercise, manage stress and take whatever step possible to keep diabetes at bay. Madhuri said that the step she would be taking would be the one she knows best i.e. dance which she thinks brings people together. She called on her fans to join her in taking the step to prevent and control diabetes in the country.

Meanwhile, the Jhalak Dilkhlaa Jaa judge launched the first look of her upcoming film Dedh Ishqiya on her Facebook page. The film is a sequel to 2010’s Ishqiya and her first since she moved back to India in November two years ago. It also stars Arshad Warsi, Naseeruddin Shah and Huma Qureshi, and is releasing on January 31, 2014. Word is that her other film Gulaab Gang may also very likely be released on the same day.
