Two people who caught our eye were actors Kangana Ranaut and Sushmita Sen. Both lovely ladies chose to go with classic black for the event, and each sported a look that best showed off her assets. But who wore black better? Let’s take a look see.
Kangana wore a subtly sparkly black evening gown by Gucci. What made it work? The exquisite cut, the perfect amount of sequins, and the deep V sheer panelling on the neckline that gave a peek of some tasteful cleavage. She looked super hot but also super sophisticated. Maybe that’s the power of Gucci, or maybe it’s just Kangana’s own sizzle that makes this look so top notch.

The outfit was accessorized very minimally with a slim patent black clutch. She styled the ensemble with curly hair (no surprise there), red lips and cat’s eye makeup.

As for Sushmita, who is curvier, she wore a black mermaid dress which did full justice to those curves. The bodice of the number was fashioned of black, gold and off-white lace in a floral pattern, the black lace sheer on her neckline and upper bust giving her look a soft vibe.

Her accessories were a little more pronounced than her contemporary on the red carpet. She sported a thick gold cuff bracelet and a statement ring, also carrying a gold purse with a chain. Red lips and wavy hair completed her look.

So who wore the black evening gown better? Sushmita has that vibrant poise that made her Miss Universe all those years ago infusing her ensemble while Kangana’s purring sultriness is evident in her Gucci garb.
