It was a very lively runway as models playfully cat-walked their way up and down, smiling and interacting as they passed each other. The collection was just as playful as the models’ attitudes, replete with color, modernism and elegance.

Red was a popular choice, featuring on almost every piece that hit the runway. But almost no color was left out as evidenced by the vivid hues of yellow, blue, green, purple, pink, orange, black and white.

While the line saw mostly saris, anarkalis and lehenga cholis in fusion and traditional designs, there were also a few Western influences in the asymmetrical-hem dresses.

Jewellery was non-existent, letting the outfits take full reign. The hairstyles were both cute and womanly – a side do stemming from a steep, stern parting. While the lippies varied from model to model, a common feature among them were their statement eyes.

Like most other fashion shows, this one wasn’t devoid of celeb presence. Taking to the ramp to support Agnimitra were tennis player Poulami Ghatak and actress Rituparna Sengupta. Rituparna was the show-stopper in an anarkali suit that married monochrome to a very colorful palette, the resulting piece transformed into more than just a traditional outfit.
