The Mumbai launch of the Jagran Film Festival at Taj Lands End, Bandra opened with much aplomb. A bevy of glamorous Bollywood celebs attended the event.
Where fashion is concerned, we’re never far behind! We bring you the updates on the celeb fashion spotted during the event.

Priyanka Chopra chose a flared white floral dress from Blumarine which should have looked lovely but somehow looked drab. Our guess, it’s that hair and shoes (though the shoes is absolutely gorgeous, it doesn’t compliment the dress at all!)

A gorgeous Gauri and Nainika creation was the choice of actress Neha Dhupia. Love the flared dress from the designer duo, the hue is also stunning and Neha carried it off well. The look was styled beautifully halfway through with Jimmy Choo heels and watch, and then we saw that purse and hair. Uh-oh!

The pretty Bhagyashree was spotted in a strange looking dress. Don’t quite understand the look, especially those shoes. Which century does it belong to?

A dangerously low-cut backless dress in two tone orange hue by Sailex was Chitrangada Singh’s fashion choice. With minimum accessories apart from Prerto earrings, the dress did that was required to show off her toned body. But somewhere, the look is not quite fab, perhaps it is that messy oily-looking hair.

Sushmita Sen opted for a black number for the event which somehow looked good on her. Her gorgeous smile and infectious energy almost melted our hearts. But how do you expect us to forgive those shoes (zebra patterned!)?

Then we saw Zarine Khan looking quite orangey. A bright orange dress, loose wavy hair and bright blue heels; we’re speechless (and not in a good way)!

The gorgeous Sophie Choudry went for an ethnic Indian look in a heavily embellished ensemble from Sana Sainaz. She paired the dazzling outfit with heavy kundan necklace, golden peep-toes and clutch. Is it me or does the attire seem ill-fitted on Sophie? Anyhow, she looked stunning. And thank you Sophie for ditching the earrings and going for a neat wavy hair up-do!

Another ethnic Indian look that we spotted was Vidya Balan in a Raw Mango silk saree. The blue of the saree was a beautiful compliment to her complexion but a lot of things didn’t make this look work on Vidya. For instance, a plain bordered saree paired with a simple-plain contrasting blouse is never a good choice. To top it all, she left her neck bare and gave us a weird looking hairstyle.

Kangana Ranaut is one of the few Bollywood divas who have an innate sense of style. A white Gucci dress with a dash of chain embroidery on the sleeves and neckline, paired with black Gucci boots; Kangana goes edgy. And then she surprises us by going for a feminine retro hairstyle; bold, edgy, classy and super cute, all at the same time! Love, love the look!
