Rajinikanth has done it again! The superstar’s latest action entertainer, Jailer 2, has rewritten box office history, becoming the highest-grossing Tamil film of all time.
Released on October 15, 2026, the film has collected an impressive ₹733.35 crore worldwide in just 12 days, according to trade tracker Sacnilk.
What’s even more remarkable? Jailer 2 has overtaken Rajinikanth’s own 2018 blockbuster 2.0, which previously held the record with approximately ₹691 crore globally.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the sequel sees Rajinikanth return as the formidable Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. The film also features Ramya Krishnan, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Vidya Balan and several other prominent stars.
The movie has earned ₹477.85 crore gross in India, while overseas audiences have contributed another ₹255.50 crore.
With the ₹750 crore milestone now within reach, Jailer 2 continues its extraordinary theatrical run.
