Sanjay Leela Bhansali has finally begun opening the doors to Love & War, unveiling first look posters of its three leads, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
The posters were released across three days, each introducing a very different mood and giving the first real sense of the film’s visual world ahead of its January 21, 2027 theatrical release.
Ranbir Kapoor Brings Vintage Grit
Ranbir Kapoor’s first look arrived with a distinctly retro mood.
One poster shows him seated inside a vintage turquoise convertible, dressed in period styling, while another reveals a bruised and bloodied arm, adding a rougher edge to the otherwise composed image. The contrast immediately hints at a character caught between elegance and conflict.
Alia Bhatt Steps Into Full Bhansali Glamour
Alia Bhatt’s poster shifts the tone completely.
She appears in a dramatic magenta-red ensemble with an elaborate feathered headpiece, styled with a cabaret-like theatricality that feels unmistakably Bhansali. The rich colours, opulent setting and poised expression give her character a glamorous, old-world presence.
Vicky Kaushal Brings the Mystery
Vicky Kaushal completes the trio with a darker, more brooding introduction.
Sporting a vintage haircut, thick moustache and facial scar, he is seen trying to light a cigarette with an antique-style silver lighter. The styling gives his character a tougher, more enigmatic quality and sharply contrasts with Alia’s theatrical glamour and Ranbir’s restrained intensity.
Together, the three posters suggest a film built on contrasts: romance and conflict, glamour and violence, elegance and danger.
And with Bhansali behind the camera, even these first images already feel like pieces of a much larger visual drama.
