Last year, we lost a fashion designer par excellence – Alexander Mcqueen. This year we make him live on – at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in an exclusive exhibition of some of his best work in the 19 years of his designing career.
At the fashion event, which some call is what Oscars is to the film industry, we spotted celebrities who were out doing each other when it came to dressing up and showing off their look.
Dakota Fanning : Alexander Mcqueen gown
Dakota Fanning arrived looking gorgeous in her Valentino, a dress straight from their 2011 Resort collection.
The strapless gown was very pale nude – pink Tulle, with white and pale green flower corsages through the length and breadth of the dress. Though young, Dakota managed to carry off the mature look that this gown demands, with aplomb. She wore her blonde hair parted in the middle and straight.
Her makeup was nude too , which complimented the simple yet stunning look beautifully.
Young Dakota sure knows how to tweak her look to grace an occasion of this standing!
