Singer Fantasia Barrino welcomed her baby boy into the world two weeks ahead of schedule. The American Idol winner gave birth to Dallas Xavier Barrino in North Carolina on Tuesday.
Barrino told People.com that she felt blessed that Dallas was born healthy and that he is a wonderful addition to her family. She also thanked fans for their support and well wishes.
It has been speculated that Antwaun Cook, former college basketball star, is Dallas’ father.
The proud mother also has another child, daughter Zion, 10, from a previous relationship.
