We’re still debating who were the best-dressed celebs at the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards which were held on January 29 at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. But while we’re in voting, here’s one of the strong contenders for that list – Ahna O’Reilly. The Help star looked surprisingly fashion-forward in a full-length red column gown with an interesting back.
Sleeveless and high-necked on the front, the back of this number is what really stole the show. There was an amazing asymmetrical cutout on the back plus a slit starting at the thigh. Her patterned silver stiletto heels were another eye-catching aspect of her modern ensemble, peeking out from the front but more visible from the slit on the back. Ahna accessorized with a red box clutch, a silver-bronze band bracelet, and stud earrings.
Wanting the gown to shine, the makeup was kept simple with just a hint of pink on her lips. Even her long straight hair was swept unobtrusively over one shoulder, neat and pretty but not interfering with the dress.
This look is simple but very effective in drawing attention and making the wearer look stylish and elegant. Kudos, Ahna, for a great red carpet look.

Not many of us pay attention to the back of our bodies since it is not easy to view. So the back of our legs as well as our back itself tend to get neglected. There can be a layer of dead skin cells due to lack of exfoliation which causes the skin to get dull, and there can be spots and pimples as a result of it. If you are planning on wearing a dress like Ahna’s which is going to display a part of your body that you cannot see and check on often, you have to ensure well-beforehand that the skin is clean, smooth, and flawless. You can try dusting on some shimmer or even applying a light layer of foundation on the exposed skin to give it a more finished look. Once that is done, your backless look will build on it and it is bound to be a success.
