You wouldn’t have recognized Lea Michele if you’d seen her at the 2012 Do Something Awards held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California on August 19. The Glee star usually looks cute and girly, so we were surprised – in a good way – to see a very mature and sexy Lea walking down the red carpet.
What she wore:
Backless ivory dress by Giorgio Armani
There were many sexy aspects to Lea’s outfit. Firstly, the dress had a plunging neckline with ruffle detailing. It was also backless and cut quite steeply on the sides to show off a lot of skin. Finally, it featured not just a slit from the thigh down but also an asymmetrical hemline – longer on the back, shorter on the front. She accessorized with silver ankle-strap heels by Jenni Kayne, a shimmery silver Clutch purse by Fendi, a ring by J/Hadley, and silver dangle earrings by Samira 13.
Hair and Makeup:
Curly hair with bangs; Dark eye makeup
Lea’s long brown hair was bleached for a summery effect, enhanced more so by cascading curls. Her front-combed bangs are the only bit of her ensemble which are still reminiscent of the ‘old’ Lea. She completed her look with darkly-mascarraed fake eyelashes, black eyeliner, and natural colors on her lips and cheeks.
