Tropic of C’s Resort 27 collection moves through a warm, earthy palette with a focus on low rise swim shapes, sheer layering and animal inspired prints.
The collection stays close to the brand’s established swimwear identity, but there is a slightly more developed wardrobe sensibility this season. Rather than presenting each bikini as a standalone piece, the styling builds complete resort looks through lightweight cardigans, sheer knit layers and stronger footwear.
A Richer Take on Animal Print

One of the collection’s clearest themes is print.
Brown and cream markings appear across coordinated bikini sets and matching sheer layers, while olive and black variations introduce a darker, more graphic mood. The patterns feel abstract enough to avoid becoming overly literal, giving the swimwear a more polished finish.
In the campaign imagery, these prints are often shown in direct sunlight, where the contrast between skin, shadow and fabric becomes part of the visual language.
Low Rise Shapes Lead the Silhouette

The Lowrider Shortie is one of the more distinctive shapes in the collection, sitting low on the hips with a compact, retro influenced cut.
Paired with small triangle tops and bandeau styles, the silhouette feels minimal and controlled. The proportions bring a subtle 1990s reference, but the overall execution remains contemporary.
The effect is especially strong in the darker printed sets, where the low rise cut keeps the look clean and graphic.
Layering Adds Depth

The most interesting styling comes through the cover ups

Sheer brown cardigans and open front knit layers are worn over the swim pieces, adding movement and texture without obscuring the prints underneath. These layers help shift the collection beyond straightforward beachwear and give it more versatility.
The styling suggests a wardrobe designed to move easily between poolside, terrace and casual evening dressing.
Candice Swanepoel Keeps the Brand Identity Personal

Tropic of C founder Candice Swanepoel appears in several of the Resort 27 images, reinforcing the close connection between the collection and the brand’s own visual identity.
Her presence is understated rather than central, allowing the focus to remain on the clothes, the textures and the overall mood.
A Resort Collection Built on Atmosphere
What works best about Resort 27 is its restraint.
There is no need for excessive colour, embellishment or complicated styling. Instead, the collection relies on a narrow palette, tactile fabrics and strong silhouettes.
The result feels polished but still relaxed.
