Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have been celebrating their nuptials for the last five days with several parties and get-togethers in Mumbai which were attended enthusiastically by the film fraternity. It all culminated in a grand Dawat-e-Walima hosted by Saif’s mother, Sharmila Tagore, in New Delhi on October 19.
The hostess for the night, though not a guest, deserves a mention thanks to her resplendent ensemble – she dazzled in a gold sari. We love the multi-stoned statement necklace she accessorized with.

With over 50 dishes on the menu, a live band that everyone gushed about, opulent decorations depicting Mughal royalty and a chance to rub shoulders with the elite of the country, this was one of the most-looked-forward-to events of the year which met and exceeded all expectations.
Not a lot of B-town celebs were able to make it to the reception. However, there were several big names from politics and the business world who more than made up for that. Check out a few of the folks on the guest list.
Sara Ali Khan, Saif’s daughter from his previous marriage to actress Amrita Singh, was very elegant in a yellow anarkali outfit with heavy embellishments in silver.

Her long, wavy brown hair was left loose and the youngster stuck to natural makeup. She accessorized her look with gold peep-toes and a simple jewellery set.

Nandita Das was all traditional sophistication in a simple green sari and orange blouse. The dusky beauty styled her hair straight and sleek, leaving it loose to fall picturesquely down her shoulders. Traditional gold jewellery and a red bindi completed her look. Nandita was one of the only Bollywood celebs at the do. Other notables included directors Madhur Bhandarkar and Imtiaz Ali.

Beauty mogul Shehnaaz Hussain was equally noticeable in a blue and green salwar kameez with gorgeous silver embroidery. She accessorized with open-toed gold-silver heels and stuck to her patent mane-like hairdo and dramatic makeup to complete her look.
Businessman Subroto Roy arrived with his wife Swapna. He wore a black kurta with black pants while his wife stole the limelight in a red sari embellished in gold.
