“Mystical Romance” by Jyotsana Tiwari at India Bridal Fashion Week 2013
The second day at the India Bridal Fashion Week 2013 saw a resplendent collection by designer Jyotsana Tiwari, and featured Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez as the showstopper.

The collection was an amalgamation of heavily embroidered pieces, zardozi work, the judicious use of red and golden combinations, dhoti pants, fishtail cuts, bling, indo-western gowns with full slits and a very interesting use of peplum. Heavily encrusted blouses and fabrics like silk, raw silk and satin were the other high points of the pieces seen on the ramp.

Red and Gold

The heady combination of red and gold which is a traditional bridal mainstay was a highlight of the collection. One could see a fishtail gown which did an eye catching take on this combination and featured intricate zardozi and embroidery work.

The same combination was also seen on dhoti pant-dupatta sets.
Voluminous Sheer Ghagras

The sheer ghagras with a heavier underskirt/lehenga continued with the layering trend which is quite big these days.

Another interesting trend was the use of keyhole design in blouses.
Peplum
One of the best features of the entire collection was how the designer had amalgamated peplum into traditional Indian wear.

The peplum part in itself also stood out due to the exquisite zardozi work done on them, making the entire ensemble rather innovative.
Indo-Western Gown – Dhoti Pant Combo
Showstopper Jacqueline Fernandez looked pretty in an indo-western number that teamed a slit gown with dhoti pants. This is surely a trend to watch out for. The zardozi work on the gown gave it a royal feel.
