Michelle Smith’s handbag collection witnessed at the Fall 2011 collection presentation during New York Fashion Week comprised of cross-body mini bags, satchels, totes, handbags and oversized clutches. The inspiration for the collection was ‘Peggy Guggenheim’ and it used materials from glossy patent, resin tortoise chains, shiny goatskin and tumbled nappa lamb.
Her bag line sees luxury with a hint of youthfulness and playfulness. A trendy trend put together with inspirational notes from the 60’s, 70’s and clubbed with sophistication to give birth to this bag line. Rasberry, plum, tan and the other wintery shades were seen in this collection.

The bag was being carried by a model, wearing a similar coloured coat and she gracefully carried it in her hand. A zipper closure on the top, with thin belts peeping out of black custom trimming from either side. The signature “M” was seen on the bag, in the form of a charm hung at the front, which can be removed too.
More emphasis was given to a clean line and a linear feel, for a bag that can be carried for any occasion. It has a signature turn lock detail on the front, with compartment details and interior pockets for a great usage. The lock detail has Milly embossed on it, highlighting the essence of the brand.
