Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has been slammed by a health expert for endorsing an extreme detox program on her official website.
The Shakespeare in Love star related that she is undertaking a cleansing diet, and the kit for the Cleanse was featured on her site Goop.com.
The detox diet includes just one low-calorie meal per day, a couple of protein shakes, and vitamin pills. London’s St. George’s Hospital’s chief dietitian Catherine Collins told Mail on Sunday that she is unimpressed with the diet plan and would not recommend it.
Bosses for Cleanse replied with a statement of their own insisting that their program works with the body’s natural detox process.
