Actress Kate Flannery looked lovely in a sleeveless, figure-hugging satin dress as she arrived for the 2012 BAFTA Award Season tea party at Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on January 14. That is, until your eyes traveled down and and popped out of your head on beholding her loud pink stockings.
Kate seems to have been in the mood for some fun color blocking. Unfortunately, it didn’t work so well for her because the outrageous shocking pink stockings were a complete mismatch with the elegant blue of her dress. Plus, that’s a pretty unflattering pink for the redhead.
The dress is very pretty though. If she’d just ditched those stockings, this would have been a great look, even with the pink shoes. It would have looked much better with a pair of black strappy heels though.
We love the 47-year-old’s spunk and spirit in trying out these bold colors, but a little prudence would have gone a long way in avoiding being featured in our fashion faux pas section.
