The comedian has teamed up with the cult Canadian shoe designer for The Atsuko Anthem, a playful platform shoe that mixes Okatsuka’s eccentric personal style with Fluevog’s love of sculptural shapes, bright colour and shoes that refuse to blend into the background.
A Shoe That Looks Exactly Like Atsuko
The collaboration was developed in Vancouver with Fluevog creative director Arabella Barros, and the result is every bit as colourful as you would expect.
The Atsuko Anthem comes in two bold colour combinations: orange and pink, and purple and green. Both versions sit on Fluevog’s elevated Angelica family sole, while the upper takes inspiration from the brand’s Delight silhouette.
The platform is chunky, theatrical and impossible to ignore, but there is still a sense of practicality behind it. Fluevog describes the sole as stable enough for everything from performing on stage to running everyday errands.

The collaboration also includes matching Atsuko Pawpouch socks, because apparently a giant colourful platform was not enough fun on its own.
The fuzzy polka dot socks are designed to coordinate with the shoe colourways and even feature Atsuko’s portrait woven into them.
